We're just a few weeks away from the 2022-23 NFL season, which means the Super Bowl futures market is starting to mature. We finally got news of Deshaun Watson's suspension, causing the Browns to make a small move from around +3000 to as low as +2000, depending on the book, then back to +3000 after his suspension was appealed by the NFL.

The Bills and Bucs are the only teams in single digits at Caesars Sportsbook, with the Chiefs, Packers and Rams next at around +1000.

Here's some of the notable movement from the offseason:

• The Browns are +2800 at DraftKings, a slight improvement after it was announced that Watson would miss six games. They're down to +2200 at FanDuel and +2000 at BetMGM, both down from +3000. Cleveland improved from +3000 to +1800 they traded for Watson from the Texans, but then dropped back to +3000 when it became clear that Watson would miss time.
• The Bills have moved from +750 to +650 at BetMGM, strengthening their position as a favorite. That represents about a 1.5% increase in probability. AT MGM, 12% of tickets and 17% of the Super Bowl handle is on Buffalo -- both the most of any team.
• The Bucs went from +2200 back down to +700 (the second betting choice) after Tom Brady retired, then un-retired early in the offseason. They've since dropped back to +750 at Caesars.
• Lots of smart people believe in the Chargers, which is why their price has fallen from +2500 after the Super Bowl to +1600, then to +1500. The schedule is brutal, but Justin Herbert could take yet another step forward this year and he's got plenty of great pieces around him.
• The Broncos were linked to many quarterbacks over the last few years, including Aaron Rodgers. But ultimately, Russell Wilson landed in Denver to make it a Super Bowl favorite at +1600. This possibility already seemed priced into the market, so the Broncos went from just +2500 to +1600 on the news of Wilson's trade, and have since dropped back to +1700.

When teams rise, others need to fall. 

• The Chiefs were favored at +750 following the Super Bowl but after trading Tyreek Hill (and watching their divisional rivals improve), K.C. dropped to +1000. It may not seem like a big move, but it's almost a 3% drop in probability.
• The Seahawks have been a Super Bowl threat seemingly every season since Russell Wilson arrived in Seattle. But his trade tanked any hope they had this year, dropping the Seahawks from +3500 to +15000.
• Both the Titans and Patriots have seen their Super Bowl odds take a hit in the last few months, with Tennessee dropping from +2200 to +2800 after trading A.J. Brown and the Patriots falling from +2500 to +4000.

August 1: The Browns are now +2800 at DraftKings, down from +3000, after the Watson suspension. Him missing at least a month of the season was priced into the market, it seems.

July 21: The Chargers continue to draw money at Caesars especially. They're the second-most bet team in July. The Browns line is also in flux a bit as rumors of Deshaun Watson's suspension surface.

July 11: The last few months haven't shaken up the Super Bowl odds board too much -- the Panthers didn't make much of a move following the Baker Mayfield trade. The biggest moves came earlier in the offseason with all the quarterback shuffles.

May 25: Entering the summer months, the Bills are +700, the Bucs +800 and the Chiefs +900 for the teams with triple-digit odds. The Packers (+1100) are now ahead of the Rams (+1200), with the 49ers (+1500), Broncos (+1600) and Chargers (+1600) not far behind. The Cowboys have dropped to +1800, the same as the Browns, while the reigning AFC Champs are +2200 -- the same as Lamar Jackson's Ravens.

April 1: Tom Brady's unretirement shook up the sportsbooks, catapulting the Buccaneers from +2500 odds to +750 in a weak NFC. The Bills separated themselves from the Chiefs during this time as well after the Tyreek Hill trade, moving up to +650 while Kansas City dropped to +900. While the Rams stood pat at +1100, the Packers even things up with them there despite the Davante Adams trade to Las Vegas. The 49ers improved to +1400, while the Cowboys, Broncos and Chargers all came in at +1600.

February 13: The Chiefs and Bills started the offseason as co-favorites to win the Super Bowl at +750 odds. Oddsmakers like either to come out of the AFC and defeat whoever the NFC produces this season -- the reigning Super Bowl champion Rams came into the offseason with the best odds out of the NFC at +1100, followed by the Packers and 49ers at +1600.

Team-by-Team Breakdown

1. Buffalo Bills (+650)

Many bettors thought the Bills 1) deserved to beat the Chiefs and 2) would have beaten both the Bengals and Rams to win the Super Bowl had they got past Kansas City. There's still a lot to like in Buffalo, with Josh Allen searching for his first Super Bowl appearance and win. Oddsmakers have them as the favorites to do so.

2. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (+750)

The Bucs are lucky to have Tom Brady coming back after the GOAT -- briefly -- retired. They're in the easier conference and an even easier division, so oddsmakers like them to come out of the NFC and contend for the title. With Mike Evans and Chirs Godwin back and healthy, they certainly look like the team to beat.

 3. Kansas City Chiefs (+1000)

Despite blowing a lead to the Bengals in the AFC Championship Game, it's no surprise to see Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs right back near the top of the board for 2023. They'll of course return their star quarterback and Travis Kelce, but the loss of Tyreek Hill could loom large.

4. Green Bay Packers (+1000)

Aaron Rodgers is back, but surprisingly, Davante Adams is not. The Packers will move on without their No. 1 receiver, but the oddsmakers still gave them the fourth-best odds to win it all.

5. Los Angeles Rams (+1100)

The defending Super Bowl champions have built their new team through trades and free agency, losing Von Miller to the Bills but bringing in the likes of Bobby Wagner and Allen Robinson. Could they be the first repeat champions since the early 2000s?
