The Colorado Avalanche hoisted the Stanley Cup for the first time in more than 20 years. And to no one's surprise, they're the favorite to do it again next season.

FanDuel lists the Avs at +500, one of only two teams with single-digit odds. The other is the perpetually-disappointing Toronto Maple Leafs at +900.

After that we've got a host of contenders from this past season anywhere from +1000 to +1200. The Panthers, Lightning, Golden Knights and Hurricanes are all priced in that range, depending on the sportsbook. BetRivers has the Knights and Hurricanes at a market-best +1500, if you're looking to buy either of those teams.

The Rangers and Oilers have pretty big price discrepancies depending on the sportsbook. FanDuel has them both +2000 ($10 wins $200) while Caesars has the two conference finalists from this past postseason at +1200.

Next are many of the other playoff teams from this year -- the Flames, Penguins, Wild Bruins and Blues can all be found between +2000 and +3000. The Islanders are a non-postseason team among the mid-tier, as sportsbooks expect them to bounce back from a disappointing 2021-2022 campaign.

1. Colorado Avalanche (+500)

The Avs rebounded from a sluggish start to the season to put up the most points in the Western Conference, then cruised to the Stanley Cup by going 16-4 in the postseason. They were a deserving favorite all season and a deserving Stanley Cup champion.

2. Toronto Maple Leafs (+900)

The Leafs still haven't made it out of the first round with this core, falling at home to the Lightning in seven games in this past postseason, but there are lots of bettors who still believe in this team. Sportsbooks agree, making the Leafs the second betting choice this offseason.

3. Florida Panthers (+1000)

The Panthers rode an electric offense to the Presidents Trophy but bowed out quickly to the Lighting in a Round 2 sweep. They have a new coach and some things to figure out in a tough Atlantic Division.

4. Tampa Bay Lightning (+1000)

Tampa went through some bumps in the first few weeks of the 2021-2022 season, not uncommon for a team that's played a lot of hockey over the last 2.5 years. But they figured it out down the stretch and in the postseason, taking the Avs to six games in the Stanley Cup Final. And had Game 4 ended differently, Tampa could be sitting on a three-peat.

5. Vegas Golden Knights (+1000)

Vegas missed the playoffs in 2021-2022 thanks to a host of injuries to star players, but this is still one of the most talented rosters in the league and sportsbooks are expecting a major rebound.
