BetMGM Bonus Code TOPACTION Unlocks $1,000 Promo for National Title Game article feature image

Ready for the NCAA Tournament final? BetMGM bonus codeTOPACTION unlocks a $1,000 first bet on the house, meaning you'll get refunded in bonus bets equal to what you lost, up to $1k. So if you bet $200 on UConn to cover the spread against San Diego State and UConn doesn't cover, you'll get $200 in bonus bets. If they do cover, you'll keep the profits and your initial bet.

This offer is available in all BetMGM Sportsbook states except New York and Washington D.C.

There is another quality offer available for the NCAA Tournament with BetMGM bonus code TOPACTIONCBB. This unlocks $200 in bonus bets instantly when you bet $10 on either national title game moneyline. This is also available in all BetMGM states but N.Y. and D.C.

We'll break down how each offer works below.

How to Use BetMGM's Bonus Codes

Confused about what all these sign-up offers mean? We did a complete breakdown of the different types of bonuses.

But we'll break down both codes available for tonight's national title game, with examples for each.

1. First Bet on the House

  • States available: AZ CO IN IA IL KS LA MA MD MI NJ OH PA TN VA WV WY
  • Bonus code: TOPACTION
  • Offer: $1,000 first bet on the house

Let's walk through how the first bet on the house works at BetMGM.

Say you place a $300 wager on Connecticut to cover against San Diego State — the Huskies are 7.5-point favorites at time of publish, so they'll have to win by 8+ to cover that number.

Here are the two possible outcomes:

  • If UConn covers, I profit about $272 (because the spread was priced at -110) and I keep my $300 bet. I'll now have $572 in my account I'm free to withdraw, or continue betting.
  • If UConn doesn't cover, BetMGM will give me $300 back in bonus bets.

If the second option happens, you'll have to wager your bonus bets within seven days to turn them into cash. Here's how they work.

Say you take a $50 bonus bet and place it on Jon Rahm to win the Masters at +800. Here's what will happen:

  • If Rahm doesn't win, the bonus bet just goes away.
  • If Rahm does win, you'd profit $400 ($50 x 8.0) but you wouldn't keep the bonus bet itself.

That's why it pays to use bonus bets on longshots, because there's more expected value, though golf outrights are not the mathematically-optimal market to attack.

2. $200 in Bonus Bets

  • States available: AZ CO IN IA IL KS LA MA MD MI NJ OH PA TN VA WV WY
  • Bonus code: TOPACTIONCBB
  • Offer: Bet $10, win $200 bonus bets

This offer is a bit more straight forward. Just wager $10 on any college basketball moneyline (there are only two left, of course) and get $200 in bonus bets.

The bonus bets work like we described above — you keep any profits, but not the bonus bet itself.

So say you take $20 bonus bet and put it on the Phillies to beat the Yankees at +120 on Tuesday.

  • If the Phillies win, you'll profit $24 ($20 x 1.2) but you don't keep the bonus bet itself.
  • If the Phillies lose, the bonus bet goes away.

Signing Up at BetMGM

BetMGM has a few things you should know before you get started.

  1. You must be 21+ years old to register and bet
  2. You must be located in a BetMGM state when placing your first wager. You don't have to live in Ohio to wager, you just have to be in the state at the time of activation and making a bet. Check out our travel betting guide for more details. You can withdraw money once you've already left the state (so if you were in Ohio on Monday and bet the Super Bowl, you could withdraw in your home state next Monday).
  3. You must have access to a valid deposit method. Credit card, bank account transfer and PayPal are the most popular, though some credit cards will flag gambling and not allow you to deposit.
